Privacy Policy.

What data I collect, why, how I handle it, and how you can delete it. For a more conversational and technical version see also the Security page.

SlotPrenotami is a personal project run by an individual (referred to as "I", "the operator"), not a company. This privacy policy explains transparently what data I collect, why I collect it, how I use it, and how you can delete it.

1. Who I am

I'm the operator of SlotPrenotami, reachable at prenotami.monitor@gmail.com. The site is not affiliated with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with the Prenot@Mi system.

2. What data I collect

When you sign up to the service I collect:

• Email address (required): to send you slot availability notifications.
• Name (optional): to personalize emails if you provide it.
• Consulate of interest: to monitor the right consulate.
• Requested service: to send notifications only for the service you care about.
• Context note (optional): if you decide to explain the urgency, I keep the text.
• Date and time of signup: for operational reasons.
• Unsubscribe token: a random string allowing one-click cancellation from the link at the bottom of every email.

Data I do NOT collect: I don't ask for or store your Prenot@Mi credentials, your phone number, your physical address, your date of birth, your tax ID number, or any other identifying data beyond your email.

3. Why I collect this data

The only purpose is to send you email notifications when a booking slot opens on the Prenot@Mi site for the consulate and service you specified. I will not use your data for other purposes. The legal basis is the explicit consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) you provide by ticking the consent box at signup.

4. How I use the data

• Data is stored in a protected database (Supabase) hosted in Europe.
• I send automated emails through Gmail SMTP.
• I don't share your data with third parties.
• I don't use it for profiling, marketing, or selling.
• I don't use tracking tools that identify individuals.

5. How long I keep the data

I keep your data while you are subscribed to the service. When you unsubscribe, I delete your active subscription within 24 hours. After cancellation, I may retain your email address for 30 days in an inactive state for administrative reasons (e.g., to prevent automatic re-subscriptions after a cancellation request), then it is permanently deleted.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) you have the right to:

• Access your data and know what information I have about you (Art. 15).
• Correct inaccurate information (Art. 16).
• Delete your data — the "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17).
• Object to data processing (Art. 21).
• Export your data in a readable format (Art. 20).
• File a complaint with the relevant Data Protection Authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email me at prenotami.monitor@gmail.com. I'll respond within 30 days — usually much sooner.

7. How to unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time in two ways:

• By clicking the "Click here to unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email you receive.
• By replying to any service email with the word "STOP". I'll cancel manually within 24 hours.

8. Security

I store data with security measures appropriate to the risk (database protected by credentials, HTTPS connection on the site, European servers). I cannot guarantee the absolute absence of risks — no online service can — but I do my best to protect your information. For technical infrastructure details, see the Security page.

9. Changes to this policy

I may update this privacy policy in the future. Significant changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page.
